Hi everyone! For those of you who may not know, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in which a lot of people accept the challenge of writing a novel in a single month. Here in 2021 I’m going to be participating in NaNoWriMo for the first time in… a long time. Which brings us to this month on Author Rescue: Preptober. This month I’m going to be giving you resources that you can use during Preptober as you get ready to join in NaNoWriMo. Even if you decide not to join in, I’m hoping you can still get some use out of my creative writing tips and tricks!
This month, you can look forward to posts that cover topics like:
- The basics of a story
- Character- and world-building
- Outlining methods like the snowflake/fractal method
- The phases of a successful outline
So stick around and next week on Monday we’ll dive right in!
-Katy
Really looking forward to these upcoming posts!!
